The course exposes coaches to a variety of Rugby analysis techniques, strategy development and assessment of success. The course offers the opportunity to develop these skills at the Atlanta 7s, the second stop on the IRB Women’s Sevens World Series.
Coaches will be assigned a team competing in the Atlanta 7s to analyze. Coaches will analyze by attending a team training, reviewing film and observing during the tournament. Coaches will be assisted in using the analysis to develop athlete and team profiles, game strategies, theoretical selection criteria and player development plans.
This course will combine both classroom and practical activities and will be time intensive.
Coaches will be required to bring a laptop computer with wireless network capabilities (mac or pc), DVD or USB capabilities, and video player capabilities. To effectively participate, coaches should be computer literate.
To attend, a Coach must have a minimum Level 200 certification and be actively coaching. The course is limited to 12 participants. Please send expression of interest to Josh Sutcliffe, email@example.com. All expressions of interest must be received by Thursday, February 6, 2014.
